Current Fundraiser…The US Open. 

 

 

STEP 1:   Ron is registered with the USGA/PGA and will be competing in the Local Qualifier on May 12, 2011.  In the days leading up to the Local Qualifier, it is important Ron play as many ‘practice’ rounds as possible so we can create an effective strategy for the Tournament day. 

Here are a few facts about the Local Qualifier: 

• The Tournament will be held at The Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield, Az (Gold Course), hosted by the Arizona Golf Association
• Practice Rounds cost $38
• Ron must score well and place in the top percentage to advance to the Sectional Qualifier

STEP 2:  After qualifying, Ron will advance to the Sectional Qualifier on June 6, 2011.  This is a Monday Qualifier and since it is located in another State, it will be very important Ron and I get to spend a sizeable amount of time studying and practicing on this course in preparation for the Tournament day.

Here are a few facts about the Sectional Qualifier:

• The Tournament will be held at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Ca, hosted by the Southern California Golf Association
• Travel Costs (including fuel, lodging, practive rounds and food) are out of pocket costs.

Step 3:  We will be headed to The 111th US OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT!  This is the big time!!!

Here are a few facts about the US Open:

• The 111th US Open Golf Tournament will be held at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, and is hosted by the United States Golf Association.
• Dates for the US Open are June 16-19, 2011
• Travel Costs will be much more substantial for this leg of the trip…food, plane tickets, lodging and various fees incurred while training.
